The OORT Foundation’s Grant Program supports projects using OORT’s technology and suite of products solutions. We offer financial and technical resources to help founders and developers turn their ideas into reality. OORT Foundation will be allocating up to $1M USD to support on-chain development in the OORT Ecosystem.

Microgrants

Microgrants support individual developers, community projects, and early-stage ideas that show innovation but need smaller-scale funding. Ideal for:

  • Prototyping new applications or features
  • Educational content (tutorials, guides, courses)
  • Events like hackathons and workshops

RFPs are grants for completing specific development work with clearly defined deliverables and milestones. Teams may propose their own milestones and funding needs for some RFPs, with flexibility allowed only by mutual agreement.

Open Grants support established projects or teams teams providing impactful on-chain development in the OORT Ecosystem. Ideal for:

  • Developing comprehensive platforms or major app expansions
  • Integrating multiple aspects of OORT's technology stack
  • Initiatives with potential for high user engagement or transaction volume

Who Can Apply

Open Source & Token Utility
Projects must be open-source (or have a timeline for open-sourcing) and include a clear plan to enhance the utility and adoption of the $OORT token.
Leverage OORT Technologies
Applicants must utilize OORT AI, OORT DataHub, or OORT Storage, demonstrating how these technologies are crucial for their project’s success and why they chose the OORT ecosystem.
Team & Eligibility
Teams can be anonymous but must pass identity screening. Grants are available globally, except in sanctioned jurisdictions, with clear milestones, KPIs, and budget justifications required.

Focus Areas

Cross-Chain Integration and Liquidity Enhancement
Projects that develop bridges, protocols, and platforms designed for efficient cross-chain transactions and liquidity management across multiple blockchain ecosystems. These initiatives should aim to enhance the utility and liquidity of the OORT ecosystem.
Decentralized Physical Networks (DePIN)
Projects that focus on gathering, processing, and analyzing data from decentralized physical devices utilizing OORT's infrastructure. Ideal initiatives will pioneer applications in areas such as geographic mapping, positioning, environmental monitoring, urban planning, health, and other Internet of Things (IoT) domains.
OORT Infrastructure Applications
Projects that make innovative use of OORT’s existing products, including storage solutions and the OLYMPUS protocols, to create new revenue streams and enhance the overall value proposition of the OORT ecosystem.

The Process

Submit Your Application
Provide a clear vision, detailed roadmap with KPIs, milestones, and community engagement.

Review & Follow-Up
Applications are reviewed for alignment, followed by potential team dialogue or an interview to discuss details.
3
Decision & Funding
The Grants Committee decides within two weeks, with funds released upon milestone achievements monitored by the Grant Manager.
